FIELD: metallurgy; applicable in production of metal lithium of high purity. SUBSTANCE: method includes pouring of metal into mixer crucible, evacuation, filtering and oriented crystallization. Lithium filtration is carried out with continuous evacuation and subsequent holding of molten lithium in lingots. Molten lithium is poured into mixer crucible, mainly, at temperature of 220-270 C and filtering is carried out at creation in refining plant of vacuumetric pressure to 0.10 MPa. Plant for lithium refining has lingots installed on distributing plate, vacuum heat-insulating cap, mixer, suction tube with removable filter, vacuum line. Mixer is located on lifting car which is delivered to under refining plant. Vacuum heat-insulating cap is mainly removable, and mixer is with steel removable crucible. Suction tube has check valve and is made removable for its possible replacement.
