FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has at least one piston fitted in cylinder and rigidly coupled with rod carrying cross with rollers in its middle part. Rollers interact with mating sinusoidal profiled groove made on inner surface of bushing enclosing the rod. It has also splined bushing and gear with cams. Splines are made on tail part of rod. Said splines mash with splined bushing installed in housing on bearings. Bushing, in its turn, is rigidly coupled with gear provided with cams engaging with drive of valve timing mechanism. Cylinder has two combustion chambers. Scavenging ports are made in central part of cylinder. EFFECT: improved reliability and increased efficiency. 1 dwg
