FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engine testing facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has piezoelectric transducer, processing unit and engine parameters meter. Piezoelectric transducer is installed in housing rigidly split-fastened on fuel pipe of diesel engine. Processing unit has comparator and locking circuit. Piezoelectric transducer is electrically connected with high frequency filter. High frequency filter is connected with comparator through automatic gain regulator. Outlet of comparator is connected with inlet of locking circuit whose outlet is connected with engine parameters meter furnished with tachometer and stroboscope with delay.
