FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle supply source. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power sources to be mounted on vehicle internal combustion engines to supply ignition systems and vehicle-mounted lighting devices, such as headlights, warning lights and other light-signaling devices. Proposed AC flywheel generator has rotor in form of flywheel with seat cone and ring-shaped permanent magnet made of neodymium, ferrum, boron-based magneto last and polymeric binder with rubber arranged on inner surface of flywheel and magnetized by asymmetrical magnetic field, and star-shaped stator with different number of poles with fitted-on control and ignition windings. Control windings are connected in opposition. Rotor flywheel and its seat cone are made as common part of magnetically soft material. Ring made of hard non-magnetic material is installed between bottom of flywheel and magnet. Stator has 2P poles where P≥4, and rotor has (2P-2) pole sectors magnetized in succession to N and S. stator is provided additionally with vehicle circuit supply windings. Number of control windings is multiple of two, and total number of ignition and supply windings is ≥6, remaining an even number.
