FIELD: electrical engineering; electric drives including slow-speed direct-drive ones for wheelchairs, power trucks, and other vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: electric motor has toothed stator rigidly fixed on axle and rotor which is free to revolve about this axle. Magnetic core is disposed on rotor periphery and stator mounts rigidly joined rotor position sensors, their quantity being equal to motor phase number; it also has switching device whose input is connected to outputs of mentioned sensors. Stator teeth are uniformly distributed over circumference and their quantity is a multiple of double number of motor phases; each tooth carries winding. Magnetic core surface facing the stator is covered with solid rubber ferrite layer incorporating magnetic poles with alternating polarity of magnetization, their quantity differing by two from that of stator teeth. Rotor position sensors are built around galvanomagnetic cell and are placed in stator-to-rotor air gap; electronic switching device is mounted on stator. Rotor position sensors may be mounted in air gap between stator teeth or between stator teeth and magnetic material of magnetic core.
EFFECT: improved electrical characteristics and simplified design of motor.
