FIELD: mechanics, machine elements, worm clips for clamping flexible hoses. SUBSTANCE: body of worm clip has worm screw. One end of hand is secured in body and other end is engageable with screw. Inner surface of band in the vicinity of body is provided with backing which has inclined stampings with edges projecting on either side of body by thickness of lower portion of body. Stampings have areas for securing to lower end of band. Backing has longitudinal cut in central portion under body along axis of symmetry; it has lugs on both ends; thickness of these lugs is brought to minimum and width of backing is equal to width of band. Such construction of clip makes it possible to reduced clamping effort, thus forming margin of effort and consequently enhancing operational reliability. Besides that, clip ensures formation of more than one clamping zone of hose on branch pipe, thus enhancing tightness of joint. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and tightness of joint. 7 dwg
