FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording arterial blood pressure and heart beat rate in parallel during the whole day. Pulse frequency is transformed into dynamic series of averaged cardiac interval samples and then variational pulsograms are plotted and analyzed. Systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure variability is determined. Sympathetic and parasympathetic components of cardiac vegetative regulation are detected to reveal hypertensive, hypotensive and normotensive components of arterial blood pressure. EFFECT: optimized arterial hypertension treatment.
