METHOD FOR CORRECTING HUMAN BODY DESYNCHRONOSIS DUE TO AIR FLIGHT INTO ANOTHER TIME ZONE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: prophylactic medicine. SUBSTANCE: method deals with correcting desynchronosis as a result of broken daily human biorhythms due to rapid transportation (air flights) for two and more time zones both in the western and eastern directions. During the post-flight period a man is affected with an artificial light of not less than 300 lux for 40 min or natural daylight at duration of not less than 2 h in any combination with the following factors: physical, psychoemotional or alimentary ones. Impact is conducted every day for 4 h to reach the control time Tcw for western air flight or for 4 h after the onset of the control time Tce for eastern air flight according to a time zone of destination point. Time of impact is determined by the formulas: where t - the number of crossed time zones, tn - usual time of getting up (awakening) in the morning in departure point, n - an ordinal number of the day after arrival to destination point; impact should be continued to achieve the matching of tn in destination point with tn in departure point at calculating the time according to corresponding time zones in destination and departure points. The method provides more physiological and less painful transition for the mode of new time zone at shortened terms. EFFECT: higher efficiency of correction. 1 tbl
