FIELD: know-how practice and equipment of the textile industry in manufacture of fire hoses assembled of woven bags of synthetic threads and watertight coatings of their inner surfaces in the form of a polymeric shell. SUBSTANCE: a hollow shell is set up inside the woven bag, the shell is pressed to the bag wall under pressure, the shell is heated by water vapor and joined to the bag cloth. The shell for bag coating is made of thermoplastic polymer, which is a copolymer of ethylene with vinyl acetate belonging to the class of polyolefines. The operation of shell heating is accomplished at a temperature of 105 C. After heating of the shell the hose is cooled by air supplied inside it under pressure. EFFECT: reduced time of in- process operations and reduced cost of manufacture of the fire hose. 1 dwg
