FIELD: polymer materials. SUBSTANCE: cleaned, ground, and dried polyethylene terephthalate waste is fed into cylinder of extrusion fiber generator at temperature superior to vitrification temperature of polyethylene terephthalate, melted, and extruded through die of fiber-forming head. Thinning of formed fiber is achieved under effect of spirally-twisted high-velocity gas flow, which is fed at pressure at least 1,5•104 Pa at 190 to 350 C at the outlet of fiber-forming head. Fibers are led onto surface of fiber-forming head or collected in the form of polymer wool. EFFECT: enabled processing of unlike industrial and household wastes into fibrous materials without addition of primary material. 2 cl
