FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: mudflow conducting canal has flume of polygonal cross-section with symmetric slopes, two side slopes and two bottom slopes. Novelty of invention lies in reinforcement of combined facing comprising flexible reinforced concrete foundation mat and quarry-stone strengthening with thickness of rubble masonry not less than 45.0 cm. Reinforced concrete foundation mats are laid transverse to section of flume on line of side and bottom slopes at some distance one from another and comprise rows of reinforced concrete prismatic blocks anchored to bottom and interjoined with the aid of cables and protruding above level of ruffle masonry and bottom slopes by 30-40 cm. Protruding parts of reinforced concrete blocks on pressure side are installed with inclination of face at angle of 30-40 degrees and are oriented in opposition to mudflow.
