FIELD: agricultural machinery. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to land reclamation and can be used in drainlayers for building closed horizontal drainage. Drainlayer hopper has box compartment, drain layer and former-compactor of loose protective and filtering material. Former-compactor width corresponds to width of trench being made with cone shape riffled working surface with diameter of cone decreasing from its front part in direction of drainlayer movement towards its rear part. Inner diameter of cone of former-compactor in its rear part is greater than diameter of drain pipe by value of thickness of loose protective-filtering material layer. Loose protective filtering material former-compactor is hinge-connected to rear side of box compartment, and pressure spring is installed in between. EFFECT: improved quality of building owing to improved operating conditions of drain pipe. 2 cl, 4 dwg
