FIELD: test equipment, in particular, procedure of acceleration of conductors up to hypersonic speeds at tests of materials for momentum impact action. SUBSTANCE: device has current leads connected to a current-conducting element with a recess in the form of a groove, whose width equals the distance between the current leads. The current- conducting element is made in the form of two parallel rails with the conductor to be accelerated, having an electric contact with the rails, positioned between them; the current-outgoing rail oversteps the limits of the current-incoming rail, and the groove is made in the section of the rail overstepping the limits of the current - incoming rail. EFFECT: provided impact tests of materials without any skewing at projection of the conductor. 1 dwg
