FIELD: nuclear power engineering; floating plants operating in littoral regions. SUBSTANCE: nuclear power plant is made in the form of nonpropelled vessel having simplified shape of hull. Power plant has platform mounting pressure housings abutting against each other. Housings accommodate power unit with reactor zone, fuel tank, safety systems, power-unit maintenance and evacuation systems, ventilation and power supply systems, turbine compartment accommodating turbogenerator, additional vessel control and survival systems, all disposed in enclosed pressurized shaped compartments. Platform is made in the form of double-side and double-bottom hull of vessel with bulkhead, upper, middle, and lower decks. Vessel hull is divided by transverse sealed partitions that form walls of pressure housings for disposing compartments. Reactor zone includes reactor, cooling circuits, and steam generator. Additional ballast, fuel, and feedwater storage tanks are mounted in side-to-side space and in double bottom. Power unit has fast reactor with its primary circuit carrying liquid lead-bismuth metal coolant. Strength characteristics of sealed partitions are chosen so as to ensure zero excess pressure of coolant in primary coolant circuit of reactor.
