METHOD FOR RESTORING THROWN-DOWN TREE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: forestry and agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves moving support to zone under thrown-down tree resting upon branches abutting against ground; scraping out soil from pit formed under tree rootage and soil spilled between roots; lifting tree to predetermined position by, for example, poles and cables and fixing it by bracing members, which may be made in the form of cables or fixing tree to pole driven into ground in the vicinity of base of tree trunk; filling said pit with extracted ground while continuously compacting it between roots so as to form hill; placing weight onto hill for further strengthening of tree through root fixation; removing bracing members and weight after restoration of rootage. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced damage to environment and decreased expenses for eliminating storm consequences.
