METHOD FOR PERFORMING A MINIACCESS IN OPERATIONS ON BILIARY DUCTS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: cutaneous incision of 3-5 mm parallel to costal arch should be started from the central abdominal line. Then in a cross-sectional direction one should dissect the white line 2 cm from internal incision angle of the sheath of rectus muscle of abdomen upwards and downwards. Then medial edge of rectus muscle of abdomen is directed outwards or dissected cross- sectionally. Then posterior leaf of the sheath of rectus muscle of abdomen with the peritoneum are dissected similarly to the anterior one. After that, a transitional peritoneal fold is resected along lateral edge of the round hepatic ligament upwards and downwards against incision angle. The method enables to carry out minimally traumatic operation upon extrahepatic biliary ducts in patients with retrocostal hepatic position, lateral position of hepatoduodenal ligament. EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation.
