FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: technical result lies in provision of accuracy and simplicity of determination of fatigue range thanks to establishment of correspondence between fatigue and microfluidity of material. Straightened article is magnetized to saturation by permanent magnetic field, article is loaded with longitudinal tension not above yield point after removal of magnetization field. Value of longitudinal tension and magnetic parameter are measured in process of loading of article. Tangential or normal component of residual magnetic leakage field is chosen as magnetic parameter. Then their dependence is constructed, logarithm of it is taken and approximated by two straight lines and point of their crossing is used to evaluate value of fatigue range of material of article.
