FIELD: prospecting of metal anomalies. SUBSTANCE: samples of clay are taken according to preset scheme, no less than 5 samples from areas of maximum content of clay. Then, samples are combined forming one sample which is dried, screened through 0.1 or 0.25-mm sieve and transferred to laboratory. Samples are analyzed for presence of mercury without preliminary atom absorption attrition. Presence of anomalies is judged from results of analysis.
