FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of exploratory geology and can be used to determine the ore-formational type of placer gold source and its locations. Essence: on the study area (field ÷ ore site) the selection of black concentrate samples and washing thereof to the black concentrate is carried out. Gold samples are taken from black concentrate samples (from the first characters to 10–20 units from one sample), which are labelled according to the place of sampling. Samples for X-ray analysis are prepared, for example, epoxy cartridges are produced according to the standard technology. X-ray spectral analysis of the marginal and central parts mounted in the gold grain cartridge with the determination of the percentage of Au, Ag, Cu, Hg. According to the results of X-ray analysis of gold, the ore-formational type of the supply source is determined by comparing the obtained values with the reference interval values of the elements Au, Ag, Hg, and Cu, given in Table 2. According to the quantitative predominance of gold, any of the selected ore formations in each sample and their distribution in the area, taking into account other geological and search criteria, the location of the supply source is outlined and the best option for prospecting is chosen.

EFFECT: technical result: increased efficiency of search work.
