FIELD: processes and equipment for restoration of bearing assemblies. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of disassembling, rejecting parts, completing them due to placing onto mounting surface of outer race of worn bearing two locally and diametrically opposite plates; assembling bearing; determining thickness value of plates according to formula: Sc=Sr+Su, where Sc is summed thickness of plates; Sr is radial gap of worn bearing; Su is gap of joint "body opening-outer race of bearing" while taking into account wear value; determining length of each local plate according to expression where L is length of plate; D is diameter of mounting surface of outer race of worn bearing. Invention allows to decrease radial gap in worn bearing until its nominal value. It increases useful life period of bearing assembly. EFFECT: enhanced technology of repairing, improved quality of restored bearing assemblies.
