FIELD: machine engineering, possibly restoration of bearing assemblies in any branch of industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of demounting bearing assembly, rejecting respective parts, completing parts and assembling bearing. Completing is realized by selecting set of gaskets whose thickness is determined according to given expression where S - thickness of gasket set; DT1 - diameter of rolling body of first worn bearing; DT2 - diameter of rolling body of second worn bearing; gR1 - radial gap in first worn bearing; gR2 - radial gap in second worn bearing. Set of gasket is placed at assembling bearing unit between end of outer race at least of one worn bearing and cover. EFFECT: lowered cost price of restoring bearing assemblies. 3 dwg
