FIELD: processes and equipment for receiving hot water at using gaseous fuel, possibly for heating and hot water supplying in residential and industrial rooms. SUBSTANCE: gas-type water heater includes burners, heat insulation housing and heat exchanger in the form of reservoir flow through for water pierced by desired number of vertical tubular heat generating members. Heat insulation housing is arranged with gap relative to flow-through reservoir; said gap forms descending flue for discharging combustion products. Injection type flame-free burners are arranged directly in lower portion of each heat generating member. Confusor of burner has walls permeable for gas-air mixture; surface of said walls is covered by material featuring catalytic activity for reaction of complete oxidation of gaseous fuel. Walls of confusor may be made of gauze or perforated ceramics. At inlet of confusor may be fixed protective gauze. Such heater provides optimal relation of radiation and convection heat exchange in duct of heat generating member. EFFECT: less loss of heat generated by means of burners. 5 cl, 1 dwg
