FIELD: medicine, toxicology. SUBSTANCE: analyzed sample is treated with hydrochloric acid solution of 2,4-dinitrophenyl-hydrazine and hexane, hexanic solution is dried, the dried residue is diluted in eluent flow consisted of acetonitrile and water mixture at their volumetric ratio being 60 : 40, then aldehyde content is determined by a calibrating plot, moreover, before introducing hexane into a sample the latter should be acidified with concentrated hydrochloric acid to achieve pH = 1-2, dilution of dried residue is carried out in an eluent additionally containing 2.0 - 2.5 wt.% glacial acetic acid and 1.0 - 1.5% diethylamine. EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection. 2 cl, 1 ex, 3 tbl
