CERAMIC MASS FOR FACING TILE MAKING Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of facing ceramic tile articles of practical and household designation. The proposed invention is based on the preparing ceramic mass comprising three low melting points clay. One of low melting point clay is a base, the second clay is enriched with CaO and the third clay is enriched with SiO₂ being these clays are taken in the ratio = (0.47-0.52):(0.29-0.32): (0.19-0,21), respectively. The invention provides making tiles showing high mechanical strength, decreased shrinkage, water absorption and curvature of the facing surface.
