FIELD: radio engineering, applicable for a high-accuracy combined search and direction finding in azimuth and elevation of a great number of transmitters simultaneously finding themselves in the current reception band and using wind-band single-frequency and multi-frequency signals with a low spectral power density. SUBSTANCE: at correlation search and detection use is made of adaptation elements based on statistic features of spectral energy and noise densities and the search may be started from the most probable frequencies of the reception band instead of a successive exhaustive search of all probable pairs of frequencies. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of determination of a azimuth and elevation bearings to a source of signals, enhanced rate of detection and determination of a two-dimensional bearing and frequency of radio emission sourced due to identification of frequency separated spectral components of a multi-frequency signal of one transmitter. 1 dwg
