FIELD: radio engineering and communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in multichannel monopulse detectors-direction finders of radio monitoring systems for solving problems of direction finding radio emission sources (RES). Performing synchronous recording of received single-frequency and multifrequency signals formed by all antennas included into N-element array; for each i-st signal in frequency band δfi calculating accumulated on spectral readings of signal mutual energies between all pairs of spatial channels with serial numbers n and p, using which determine deciding direction finding function, which is square of module of two-dimensional angular spectrum of signals and calculated formula:

where is the n-th antenna directional pattern; m=0...M-1 is the current position of the azimuth mesh node; M is number of units in azimuth; h=0...H-1 – current number of grid guidance grid by elevation angle; H is number of nodes by elevation angle; is a model phasing function depending on antenna array configuration.

EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of direction finding of radio-frequency radiation sources, which is manifested in reduction of root-mean-square error and probability of abnormal direction-finding error.
