FIELD: medicine, medical and veterinary equipment. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with detecting the presence of different biological agents and chemical substances in the tested object. The suggested device contains subsequently connected: the first electrode, a block to analyze measured current, a supply unit and the second electrode which form the current contour. Control block is connected to the block for analysis of measured current being designed with possibility to indicate and treat information obtained. The suggested device contains the data base with electronic commutator. Control block is also connected to the commutator, data base and personal computer. Data base contains the cells with polaritonic structures, each cell corresponds to spectral characteristics of electromagnetic radiation of a certain biological agent or chemical substance. The device in question provides higher accuracy of diagnostics, rapid action of the device along with its enhanced functional properties. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 1 dwg
