FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making two scleral pierces in ciliary body flat part projection. Closely adhered epiretinal membranes are selected and removed. The closely adhered membranes are removed after partially substituting silicon oil with a polyorganophosphorus substance. After retina adaptation being achieved under polyorganophosphorus substance action, the epiretinal membranes are removed by means of spatula (only in polyorganophosphorus substance action zone), segmented and cut with scissors and removed from the eye cavity using forceps. Membranes removing starts in the central areas in the vicinity of the optic nerve disk after substituting silicon oil with a polyorganophosphorus substance moving step-by-step to peripheral areas. Every stage of membrane removal takes place after partially substituting silicon oil with a polyorganophosphorus substance. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in retaining vision function; reduced risk of postoperative complications.
