FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: one should develop transciliary access into vitreal cavity to detect and resect membranes untightly fused with retina in silicone oil medium. Firstly, one should begin to resect tightly fused membranes by replacing silicone oil for special PPOM medium at the volume of 0.5 ml starting from optic nerve area. While working with membrane one should start from its periphery towards the center. After removing tightly fused membranes one should detect area of residual retinal tension in special PPOM medium. Relaxing retinotomy should be carried out. Substitution of oil should be finished. Electrolaserocoagulation is conducted. Then PPOM is substitute for fluorosilicone oil to keep it for 2.5-3 mo. The method enables to stabilize proliferative processes in postoperative period, achieve stable retinal adjoining. EFFECT: improved acuity.
