FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has hingedly connected branches with rack and pinion on non- working part. Retiform blade shaped as equilateral triangle is placed between the working parts of the branches with its apex towards the hinge and sides adjacent to the internal sides of the working parts of the branches. Branch working part length matches the equilateral triangle side length inscribed into a circle which diameter corresponds to the eye diameter at the level of flat part of the ciliary body. Branch working parts ends are curved towards each other in the working parts opening plane. Retiform blade angles adjacent to the base are rounded corresponding to the branch working ends bendings. Support is created on the lens in performing surgical intervention on the same side with its posterior capsule by means of the device described above. The device is introduced keeping the branches closed through sclera paracentesis 2.5-3.0 mm far from the limb. Then, the branches are opened and their position is fixed with the rack and blepharostat. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of cataract extraction in the cases of lens luxation and subluxation and weakened ligament apparatus. 2 cl, 1 dwg
