FIELD: pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of preparing an agent used for treatment and prophylaxis of influenza in children and adults. Rimantadine tablets are made by mixing rimantadine, starch and lactose powders with polyvinylpyrrolidone as an aqueous 4.5-5.0% solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone of molecular mass from 25 000 to 40 000 Da. The obtained mixture is subjected for granulation, drying and repeated granulation. Granules are powdered by successive addition of ground substandard rimantadine tablets, calcium stearate and talc to a dried granulate at stirring. The content of talc in selected ratio of components does not exceed 2% of a tablet mass. Method ensures to utilize substandard tablets as a manufacture waste, provides decrease of talc content in rimantadine tablets as a substance causing an irritant effect on gastroenteric tract. EFFECT: improved method of preparing. 2 cl
