FIELD: medicine, chemical-pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of high-active tranquilizing agent. The proposed composition comprises phenazepam, lactose, potato starch, calcium stearate, gelatin or polyvinylpyrrolidone of mean molecular mass and talc. Invention proposes a method of preparing a pharmaceutical composition that involves preparing the triturating mixture of phenazepam with lactose and addition of potato starch to the prepared mixture; remained lactose is wetted with gelatin solution or polyvinylpyrrolidone of mean molecular mass, dried, passed repeatedly through granulator device; the obtained dry granulate is mixed with talc, calcium stearate and potato starch and tabletted. Method provides uniform mixing components and optimal bioavailability of an active substance. As compared with other preparation the proposed pharmaceutical composition shows the more high soporific, sedative and tranquilizing activities and corresponds to requirements of The State Pharmacopoeia XI. EFFECT: enhanced valuable medicinal properties, improved method of preparing. 2 cl
