FIELD: mining art and construction, applicable in construction of the starting pit for arrangement, for example, of the microtunnel complex in it. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in excavation of ground around the edges of the foundation pit, guide piles are vertically dipped in the ground, a front shaft is built, cutting edges of the lowering chamber are installed in the foundation of the front shaft, vertical walls of the chamber are encased in concrete on the cutting edge with the aid of a falsework, the chamber is lowered in the ground at a simultaneous extraction of the latter from under the cutting edge, and a thixotropic jacket is formed in the outer contour of the chamber, the vertical walls of the chamber are built up. The guide piles are dipped in the ground vertically around the edges of the foundation pit after the front shaft is built. The cutting edge of the lowering chamber is mounted in parts, each part resting on the guide piles, and dipping of the lowering chamber is accomplished along the guide piles with fixing of it after dipping in the design position relative to the front shaft.
