CATCHER OF SHANKS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas industry, extraction of devices having shanks for catcher installed or left in emergency in wells. SUBSTANCE: catcher has spring-loaded gripper in the form of flat plate with conical hole cut radially into parts. Body of catcher has cone and seat for shank. Groove to accommodate spring that compresses parts of plate is cut over perimeter of plate. Conical hole in plate is intended to interaction in well with shank and on surface with split bushing with cone that expands grip to release shank. EFFECT: simplified design and raised functional reliability of catcher. 2 dwg
