FIELD: chemical, petrochemical industries, power engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: shell-and-tube heat exchanger has housing with end face headers of tube space medium provided with partition and limited by tube plates in which bank of tubes is secured, and ring expanders of tube space medium with branch pipes arranged in zone of tube plates and having diameter exceeding diameter of housing and furnished with internal perforated baffles with radius exceeding radius of housing. Summary section of baffle perforations and clearance baffle and housing is not less than through section of ring expander. Baffle is made in form of drop-like perforated ring with projection in direction of branch pipes, and end face part of baffle is slanted at angle calculated by formula: where D0 is diameter of branch pipe, mm; dh is diameter of holes in baffle, mm; n is number of holes in baffle; l0 is initial clearance between housing of heat exchanger and baffle, mm; R is radius of baffle, mm. EFFECT: increased efficiency of heat exchange owing to uniform distribution of flow of heat carrier in cross section of heat exchanger, reduced hydraulic resistance when heat carrier passes through ring expander. 2 dwg
