FIELD: equipment related to input of radiation into optical fibers. SUBSTANCE: device to form optical radiation has unit " lamp-objective " used to supply radiation to butt of optical fiber. Input butt of optical fiber is cooled by convective method, by directional stream of air which was cooled with the use of cooler operating on principle of Peltier effect. Cooling stream is fed into lamp compartment through optical diaphragm placed near input butt of fiber. Cooling compartment is spatially separated from lamp compartment.
