FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to street or public lighting lanterns. The lantern, according to the present invention comprises several LED groups (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d), separated by cooling elements (26, 27), to which the heat, emitted by LEDs, is transmitted by a convection. Each cooling element is formed by several edges located along the direct-axis of the lantern. The width of the cooling element between LED groups and periphery edges of the lantern, approximately is twice less than the width of the cooling element located between LED groups.
EFFECT: amplification of removal of heat, emitted by LEDs, with simultaneous decrease of blinding effect of a lantern in a lateral direction.
