FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear is intended to control flow rate of liquid, predominantly, of heat transfer agent, at atomic power stations in large-diameter pipe- lines ( diameter over 400 mm ) feeding heat transfer agent into active zone from master centrifugal pump. Gear can find use at steam power plants in pipe-lines feeding water into under pressure. Two flows are formed in body of choking device which are choked independently one from another. One flow is formed by choke with constant hydraulic resistance coming in the form of bushing mounted along longitudinal axis of body and second controlled flow is formed by choke with rotary control valve. Axle of choke is positioned along longitudinal axis of body and choke proper has shape of hollow ring remotely embracing bushing of uncontrolled choke. Technical result- presence of uncontrolled choke in the form of bushing with specified hydraulic resistance and flow rate ensuring lower level of flow rate in master centrifugal pump makes it possible to get rid of cavitation and erosion processes in body of gear.
