FIELD: electrical engineering; producing conductors of high electric conductivity. SUBSTANCE: copper or nickel wire used as base metal distinguished by high class of surface treatment in vacuum is covered over entire perimeter with current-conducting layer of copper-nickel alloy with alloy diffusion in base-metal surface layer, alloy is covered with shielding metal layer composing copper-nickel pair together with base wire metal with metal diffused in surface layer of alloy, then it is annealed in vacuum at 850 to 950 C for 30 to 180 minutes whereupon conductor is cooled down in natural atmosphere together with heating device to room temperature; copper and nickel used for conductor manufacture should have purity not worse than 99.99. Base wire may be of any diameter; common cheap metals are used for conductor manufacture; conductor that may be produced of any desired length acquires mechanical characteristics of base wire. EFFECT: enhanced electric conductivity and reduced cost of conductor. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
