UNIVERSAL AUTOMATIC FLOW LINE FOR MAKING PRODUCTS OF NATURAL STONE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: stone working industry branch, namely production of flattened products of natural stone. SUBSTANCE: effort is transmitted to working ends of rods of hydraulic jacks along closed hydraulic system from main cylinder; said working ends of hydraulic jack rods are rested upon opposite edges of blank for reliably fixing it in car. Working and transporting conveyors are mutually coupled that is why all cars may move along closed circle. Front portion of blank extended over ends of column is subjected to grinding. Grinding and polishing heads are mounted horizontally for rotating around vertical rotation axes and for work in horizontal plane. After grinding and polishing by means of several grinding and polishing heads (8-16 heads) car with blank having ground upper portion moves to common drive unit for lifting blank. Said drive unit preliminarily acts upon piston of main cylinder for releasing blank. Then common drive unit engages with moving chain rotating sprockets. The last provide rotation of screws; in the result by means of nuts platform with blank lifts by value preset by means of control organ and equal to thickness of ready product. Then car with blank through transporting conveyor is fed to working conveyor with sawing equipment. Cut-off heads of that equipment are mounted in horizontal plane. EFFECT: high degree of versatility due to possibility for working stone of any shape with high roughness of their lateral faces. 3 cl, 5 dwg
