FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, abrasion-resistant austenite manganese irons used in mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cast iron comprises carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, copper, and iron. Sulfur, nickel, molybdenum, boron, and calcium are additionally introduced into composition. Ratio of total of carbide forming components such as manganese, chromium, molybdenum, boron and total of graphitizing components such as carbon, silicon, nickel, copper is within the range of 1.23-1.27. Composition comprises, wt%: carbon 3.2-3.7; manganese 7.5-9.5; copper 0.4-1.1; sulfur 0.02-0.2; calcium 0.02-0.1; nickel 0.2-0.8; molybdenum 0.1-0.5; boron 0.01-0.04; iron the balance. Sulfur-calcium ratio is 1-2. Cast iron of such composition is used for manufacture of parts operating in sliding friction units with lubrication, for example, cylinder casings of internal combustion engines. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation and prolonged service life. 2 tbl
