FIELD: mining industry and construction engineering; applicable in making holes in rock mass or in artificial objects. SUBSTANCE: device includes a body with working chamber and auxiliary chamber located in the body tail part with mechanism of periodic efflux of compressed air, pick with a diameter exceeding the body diameter and secured in the body head part, differential slide valve for periodic closing of exhaust holes of working chamber cylinder with spring-loaded and moving in it rod piston with central channel secured on side of the body auxiliary chamber; auxiliary chamber and mechanism of periodic pulse efflux of compressed air to working chamber; air supplying pipe secured in pipe union and communicated with compressed air source. Air supplying pipe on section of auxiliary chamber has lateral hole (perforation) with cross-section d1 ≥ d2, where d2 is cross-section of air-supplying pipe at inlet of working chamber. Volume of auxiliary chamber is V2 ≤ V1, where V1 is working chamber volume. EFFECT: increased efficiency of making holes due to leading filling of auxiliary chamber with compressed air. 3 dwg
