FIELD: oil and gas producing industry. SUBSTANCE: sucker rod overshot is designed for withdrawal of sucker rod string remained in well and for freeing from stuck sucker rods with impossible their withdrawal from well. Sucker rod overshot has a body, collet, and sub with holes. The body is made in the form of tube connected to the sub from one side, and to funnel from another. The body internal side has conical surface engageable with collet external conical surface. Cut on internal saurface of collet are teeth over helical line. The sub has projections locking sucker rod from turning relative to the body. The sub holes are inclined. EFFECT: increased operating reliability, improved catching and freeing of sucker rods. 2 dwg
