FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying cytoscopic and bacterioscopic examination of soft tissue exudates and counting streptococcus and leukocyte number in vision field. Their numbers ratio is calculated. When detecting 10-100 streptococci in vision field and 30-100 leukocytes in vision field with the coefficient value being less than 1, phlegmonous erysipelas form is to be diagnosed. When detecting more than 100 streptococci in vision field and 5-50 leukocytes in vision field with the coefficient value being greater than 3, necrotic erysipelas form is to be diagnosed.
