FIELD: electrical machines, testing of asynchronous capacitor-start electric motors. SUBSTANCE: proposed technique determining transformation ratio of windings of asynchronous electric motor consists in measurement of emf of windings while rotor rotates. Above-mentioned emf is induced by magnetic flux of rotor and transformation ratio in this case equals emf ratio of windings. EFFECT: increased precision of determination of transformation ratio.
