SUBSTANCE: accelerator incorporating high-frequency power supply has magnetron connected to first side of circulator; first resonant acceleration section connected to second side of circulator; second resonant acceleration section connected through phase shifter to third side of circulator; and absorbing load connected to fourth side of circulator; pulse-controlled gas-discharge switch is disposed between phase shifter and second acceleration section; electric length between switch and input of second acceleration section is integer number of half-wavelengths.
