DEVICE FOR HIGH-FREQUENCY POWER SUPPLY OF RESONANCE ACCELERATING SECTION Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract SU 762754 A1

FIELD: accelerators of charged particles. SUBSTANCE: magnetron 1 is connected using waveguide to first arm of circulator 2 through phase shifter 3. Second arm of circulator 2 is connected to resonant section 4. Third arm of circulator 2 contains mismatched load which comprises mismatching unit 5 and absorbing load 6. EFFECT: increased power received by section in conditions of altered modes of accelerator, decreased fluctuations in frequency output by magnetron by factor of 5-10, increased power of electrons, improved spectral characteristics of beam, simplified design due to replacement of tap and attenuator with mismatched load, decreased cost.
