FIELD: devices for protection of environment against toxic waste gases, particularly, catalysts for complex cleaning of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines from oxides of nitrogen and carbon monoxide. SUBSTANCE: chromium-nickel catalyst has carrier based on silicon dioxide in the form of aerosil with components applied to carrier. Introduced into carrier composition is additive of bentonite clay with particles size less than 1•10-3 mm. Catalyst has the following ratio of components, mas.%: nickel oxide, 5.08-7.04; chromium oxide, 9.6-11.5; silicon dioxide, 68.12-65.17; bentonite clay, 17.2-16.29. EFFECT: efficient cleaning of exhaust gases from nitrogen oxides NOx and carbon monoxide CO for 300 h due to heteroporous structure of carrier. 2 tbl, 1 ex
