FIELD: veterinary science, fodder production. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with introduction of buffer mixture into composition of combined fodders, contains new combination and type of buffer salts and has the following components, weight%: mono-sodium carbonate 1.0, mono- potassium carbonate 0.5, calcium carbonate 0.5. Beforehand, one should grind the weighed portions of buffer mixture components to the particles of 0.1-0.3 mm, they should be mixed together, to the obtained buffer mixture one should add a 10-fold quantity of combined fodder against the weight of buffer mixture and steadily introduce the obtained mixture of components and combined fodder into the main portion of combined fodder. The method favors to maintain an optimal pH level of rumen medium necessary for vital activity of cellulosolytic bacteria, increase the digestion of fibrous fractions in the rumens, prevent the decrease of roughage feed usage and milk fat.
