MANUAL TOOL FOR RIVETING Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, possibly assembling production line with single-side access. SUBSTANCE: in body of tool there are mounted: adaptor with opening for rivet rod and clamping device with lengthwise duct for discharging waste of riveting process. Clamping device may perform reciprocation motion and it has through openings for placing movable wedges. Said wedges have at one side notches for clamping rod of rivet and at other side - arms for engaging with mechanical regulator having rotatable handle. Rotating motion of regulator are converted by means of threaded connection to translatory motion of wedges of clamping device. On tool body handles are jointly mounted for transferring axial effort to rivet rod; additional hinged handle is mounted on clamping device. EFFECT: lowered efforts for overcoming breaking of rivet rod. 3 cl, 5 dwg
